The Coupé series, designed by Joe Colombo, was initially conceived as a variant of the Spider family, the daughter of the same designer, of which it retains the base and stem. The simple and ingenious mechanism that connects the rod to the head allows you to direct the light beam in different directions, moving the cap up, down and laterally. Coupé obtained, in 1968, the International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers, in Chicago. It is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. Available in two variants, with a semi-cylindrical or semi-spherical shell, the Coupé has been declined over the years in multiple models (from the historic table lamp to the floor and wall models), becoming one of Oluce's best-known and most appreciated collections.
