Oluce Coupé Scarlet Red led table lamp

The Oluce Coupé Scarlet Red LED table lamp is an icon of Italian design, created by Joe Colombo in 1967. Originally conceived as a variant of the Spider family — the designer's own creation — it retains the same base and stem, distinguished by its elegant scarlet red steel finish and chromed metal structure. The simple yet ingenious mechanism connecting the rod to the head allows the light beam to be directed in multiple directions — up, down and sideways — offering exceptional versatility in use. Compatible with LED or halogen light sources up to 100 W via an E26-E27 lampholder, it features an integrated switch and universal voltage input of 100–240 V (EU, AUD, USA, UK, JAP). Its compact proportions — height 40 cm, base diameter 23 cm — make it both functional and visually striking.

The Coupé is one of Oluce's most celebrated collections: in 1968 it received the International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago, and today forms part of the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. Available in two shade variants — semi-cylindrical or semi-spherical — and offered in table, floor and wall versions, the Coupé adapts elegantly to a wide range of residential settings.
