Oluce Astro wall lamp

Oluce Astro is a wall lamp of extraordinary design, created by the duo Giopato & Coombes for the Italian brand Oluce. The project originates from an in-depth study of isometric projection applied to three-dimensional volumes: the designers played with geometric perception to arrive at the construction of a rhombic dodecahedron — a Catalan solid composed of twelve equal rhombuses — which in its final form appears as a flat figure evoking a solid, and vice versa. The structure is crafted in aluminium, available in glossy black or glossy white, paired with a moulded glass diffuser combining transparent and sandblasted finishes: three transparent sandblasted surfaces alternate with opaque ones, giving the applique the appearance of a precious prismatic jewel.

Thanks to its direct and diffused light emission, Astro produces sophisticated lighting effects that enhance the lamp's geometry, turning the interplay of light and shadow into a decorative element in its own right. With a maximum power of 33 W on a G9 socket and the bulb included, it is ready to use from the very first moment. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for indoor environments, while the 100–240 V voltage compatibility (EU, USA, UK, AUS, JAP) ensures international versatility. A notable constructive detail: Astro is adjustable during installation, allowing the light emission to be oriented as needed. It is the ideal choice for enhancing a living room or bedroom with a design piece that combines geometric precision and material refinement.
