HUG Sofa, designed by Cristián Mohaded for Meritalia, is a modular sofa that interprets contemporary design through an architectural, dynamic and experimental approach. The project is defined by its checkerboard modular composition, where geometric elements alternate to create a deliberately non-uniform structure — a design choice that embodies Meritalia's philosophy of "lively non-coherence," turning discontinuity into a distinctive aesthetic value.

Composed of three main modules that generate a balanced yet dynamic configuration, HUG Sofa features a soft backrest that extends laterally and gradually narrows into an armrest, forming a continuous and fluid line that defines the identity of the piece. From a material perspective, the sofa expresses a refined tension between contrasts: surfaces with different textures alternate, while color combinations range from neutral tones to more vibrant shades, making this designer sofa a true focal point in any interior.
