Memphis Tahiti table lamp

Memphis Tahiti is an iconic table lamp designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1981 for Memphis Milano, a true manifesto of postmodern design. Its ironic and playful zoomorphic shape conceals the light source within its head, evoking childhood imagination and pop culture references. The structure is entirely crafted in metal: a yellow stem supported by a black foot leads up to a pink wheel-shaped head, fitted with an orientable chrome rod to direct the light. The red "beak", which serves as the G9 lampholder, completes the vivid and unmistakable colour composition. The base features the celebrated Bacterio pattern — white with black details — one of the most recognisable decorative motifs of the Memphis movement.

With a total height of 700 mm and dimensions of 35×10×70 cm, the Tahiti lamp is designed to enrich interiors with a strong personality. The included light source is a 3 W G9 LED bulb, with a colour temperature of 3000 K warm white, delivering a warm and atmospheric glow.
