Memphis Polar coffee table

Memphis Polar is a low coffee table designed by Michele De Lucchi in 1984 for the Memphis Milano movement, one of the most iconic pieces of the aesthetic current that revolutionised design in the 1980s. The wooden structure stands out for its bold geometric and chromatic composition: the yellow table top, formed by two overlapping circles, almost seems to float thanks to its combination with a two-tone black and white base. A blue lacquered cylindrical element acts as a central support, giving the table stability and adding a further chromatic accent to the overall design.

The decorative laminate finish and lacquered surfaces enhance a bright and deliberately ironic aesthetic, turning Polar into a true collector's piece capable of enlivening any domestic setting.
