Memphis Kristall coffee table

Memphis Kristall is a coffee table designed by Michele De Lucchi in 1981 for the Memphis Milano movement. Its bold and playful design is defined by a simultaneously anthropomorphic and zoomorphic silhouette: composed of a "head", a "body" and "paws", the piece evokes the shape of the Apollo XI lunar exploration module, bringing a futuristic and surreal atmosphere into the world of interior design. Crafted in lacquered wood and covered with the "Fantastic" decorative pattern — a dynamic and colourful graphic motif created by De Lucchi himself — the coffee table is completed by metal elements painted in vivid tones that add robustness and a touch of brilliance to the overall composition.
