Memphis Flamingo coffee table

Flamingo, designed by Michele De Lucchi for Memphis Milano, is much more than a simple table: it is a declaration of intent, a work that transforms the everyday into the extraordinary. Inspired by the figure of the flamingo, Flamingo captures the elegance and dynamism of the animal, but reinterprets it in a surreal and geometric key, typical of the Memphis movement.

Made of lacquered wood and covered with decorative laminate, the coffee table is immediately striking for its bold colours and unconventional shapes. It does not follow the rules of traditional design; on the contrary, it openly defies them. Every line, every curve seems to tell a story, oscillating between logic and irrationality, between function and emotion.

Flamingo is not a discreet object: it imposes itself in space with its visual language, ironic and unsettling. It perfectly represents the rebellious and innovative spirit of Memphis, who wanted to transform everyday objects into sensory experiences. It is an invitation to see beyond the useful, to find beauty in the unexpected, making design a form of emotional art.
