"A game of chess. The Cobra was one of the most significant lamps among those designed by my father, as it represented the concept he had of design: essentiality, formal rigor, technology and ergonomics. On the occasion of his 50th anniversary of the production of the Cobra, I wanted to depict my relationship with him through the squares of a chessboard in memory of the game and the challenge of all the years spent together".
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cobra lamp, Martinelli Luce decided to have his character interpreted by the designers who collaborate with Martinelli, through the creation of a graphic texture to be applied to the lamp body. A tribute from all of them to Elio Martinelli, who designed the lamp in 1968. 23 creations in a limited edition of 30 signed and numbered specimens.
Table lamp with direct light emission, formed by two bodies molded in resin. The lower body rotates on the underlying steel base and is connected to the upper body via a central joint which allows for 360° rotation. Internal reflector in white painted aluminium.
