Martinelli Luce Cobra Texture Table Lamp by Area-17

The Martinelli Luce Cobra Texture table lamp, designed by Florentine studio Area-17 Architecture & Interiors, is a signed and numbered limited edition celebrating 50 years of the iconic Cobra, originally created by Elio Martinelli in 1968. The body is crafted in thermosetting resin and consists of two moulded sections: the lower body rotates on a steel base, while a central joint enables 360° rotation for precise orientation of the direct light emission. The internal reflector is in white-painted aluminium. Area-17's exclusive texture features an optical pattern of black and white stripes — exactly 50 lines — reinterpreting the pure geometry of the original lamp and paying homage to the aesthetics of the Sixties.
