Lumina DOT 800 Thermodynamic LED Dimmable Suspension Lamp

Lumina DOT 800 is a dimmable LED suspension lamp by Lumina, conceived around the idea of a floating disc of light: minimalist in form, yet remarkable in technological complexity. The fixture consists of two parallel discs connected by a slender metal rod. The smaller disc, 50 mm in diameter and made of aluminium, houses a ring-arranged LED circuit that projects light upward onto the larger disc — 800 mm in diameter, in matt white painted steel — which acts as a reflector. Light is then distributed across wide surfaces in a fully indirect manner, ensuring high visual comfort without direct glare. At the heart of the system is a specially designed heat-pipe that transfers the heat generated by the LED source to a heat sink integrated within the reflector: an innovative approach to thermodynamics applied to lighting, ensuring both efficiency and longevity of the light source.

The DOT 800 is the ideal choice for spaces that demand powerful, uniform and technically refined illumination. Whether suspended above a dining table in a living room or as the primary light source in a meeting room, the DOT 800 combines minimalist aesthetics with high-performance output. The integrated 39W LED source is available in colour temperatures of 2700K and 3000K, delivering a luminous flux of 1690 lm and 1780 lm respectively, with a colour rendering index of CRI83. Dimming is achieved via a DALI system, with the option to request 0-10V or phase-cut compatibility at the time of ordering. The universal power supply supports voltages from 100 to 240V (EU, AUD, USA, UK, JAP), offering global installation versatility. The IP20 protection rating designates it for indoor use. The lamp is height-adjustable up to a maximum of 3000 mm, and is supplied complete with canopy (D. 75 x 60 mm) and decentralisation kit. The smaller disc measures 50 mm in diameter, the larger 800 mm; the low stem height is 180 mm and the high stem height is 155 mm. Available in Anodized Black and Anodized Brass finishes, the DOT 800 integrates seamlessly into any contemporary interior design project.
