Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke Glass

The PH Artichoke Glass dates back to 1927-31, when Poul Henningsen used the same materials to design the PH Septima, which was produced until 1940. In 1958, he was asked to create a pendant lamp for the Langelinie Pavilion in Copenhagen, and Henningsen took only three months to complete it. The PH Artichoke Glass is entirely handmade from sandblasted glass. The soft light diffuses through the leaves and, whether on or off, the lamp has an “ice look” that adds a touch of elegance and brightness to any room.

72 blades form 12 precise rows, each consisting of 6 blades, to ensure flawless, 100% glare-free light diffusion and emit a light with a unique pattern. The reflection is diffused in the sandblasted lower surfaces and this light is reflected decoratively on the upper surfaces, offering unique brightness. The surface treatment on the glass blades eliminates direct glare.

PH Artichoke Glass - It is available in four standard diameters (480, 600, 720, 840) and you can also choose between a bulb or various LED versions as the light source. In the case of the E27 version, the bulb is not included. Version with internal driver in the ceiling rose.

- Finish: Sandblasted transparent.

- Materials: Sandblasted transparent glass leaves. Upper shade, frame and suspension in drawn aluminium, polished chrome or white.

- Assembly: E27: 3 x 0.75mm² cable. LED: 2 x 1 mm² cable. Cable length: 4 m. Ceiling rose: included.

- Class: IP20 protection rating. Insulation class I.
