Louis Poulsen PH 5/5 Suspension Lamp in Glass

Louis Poulsen PH 5/5 is a glass suspension lamp designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, an icon of Scandinavian design that blends classic elegance with contemporary sophistication. Defined as a "whole" pendant, the PH 5/5 is distinguished by its three-shade structure arranged in a 3:2:1 ratio, with the upper shade measuring 500 mm in diameter harmoniously coordinating with the central and lower shades. Materials include mouth-blown white opal glass or drawn aluminium for the shades, a lower diffuser in satin glass, and a suspension with ceiling rose in die-cast zinc, all finished in satin black powder coating.

Engineered to deliver light that is entirely free of glare, the PH 5/5 produces a diffused and comfortable illumination: the metal shades with white-painted interiors reflect a subtle, predominantly downward-directed light, while the combination of the upper metal shade with the opal glass shades creates a warm, enveloping atmosphere around the pendant. Its versatile character makes it equally suited to a private living room and to high-ceilinged commercial spaces such as restaurants, meeting rooms, hotels and lobbies. The suspension is made from a black textile cable with an adjustable length of 4000 mm, complete with an included matt black painted canopy. The luminaire is compatible with LED or halogen light sources up to a maximum of 70W via an E27 (E26) lampholder, with a universal input voltage of 100-240V suitable for the main international standards (EU, USA, UK, AUS, JAP). The bulb is not included. The degree of protection is IP20 and the insulation class is Class II without earthing. A DALI dimmable LED version is available on request.
