Louis Poulsen Patera Oval suspension lamp

Patera Oval by Louis Poulsen is a suspension lamp with a minimalist Nordic design, created by designer Øivind Slaatto following the same principles as the circular Patera collection. The ellipsoidal shape draws inspiration from the mathematical structure of Fibonacci: diamond-shaped cells compose the surface of the lamp, crafted in PVC with a matt white finish, generating a visual effect that changes with every viewing angle. Every line is carefully engineered to prevent glare when observed from an angle greater than 40 degrees, while at 360 degrees the suspension diffuses soft, natural light throughout the entire space.

Thanks to its understated elegance and enveloping light quality, Patera Oval blends effortlessly into the living room, the bedroom, and any interior space with a contemporary Nordic sensibility. The suspension can be used with or without the included diffusion plate, allowing a choice between direct light output or a reflected emission effect that enhances the perception of the room. It is available in a version with an E26/E27 lampholder (bulb not included) or with a 41W integrated LED, dimmable via a DALI system. The LED version offers two selectable colour temperatures, 2700K or 3000K, with a luminous flux of between 2553 and 2656 lm. The 2x0.75 mm² power cable reaches a length of 4 metres, with a ceiling rose included that houses the LED driver. The degree of protection is IP20, suitable for dry indoor installations. The suspension measures Ø 500x360 mm with a maximum weight of 3.4 kg. Compatibility with voltages from 100–240 V makes Patera Oval suitable for installations worldwide, including EU, USA, UK, Australian and Japanese standards.
