Louis Poulsen Moonsetter Rotating Floor Lamp

Louis Poulsen Moonsetter is a rotating floor lamp designed by architect and designer Anne Boysen, winner of the Next Danish Design Classic competition. Its design merges circle, square and cylinder into an entirely original sculptural geometric composition. The structure is crafted entirely from die-cast and extruded aluminum with a polished chrome finish, while the diffuser is made of opal silicone. The 16W LED light source is elegantly concealed within the frame, delivering glare-free illumination.

Conceived as a visual centrepiece, the Moonsetter is ideally suited to a living room or any representative space where design takes centre stage. Its 360° rotating internal disc — Ø510 mm in diameter, liquid-painted white on one side and polished chrome on the other — allows complete customisation of the lighting effect: oriented towards the white side, the light becomes soft and diffused; rotated towards the chrome side, the light panel is reflected directly for a more intense and dramatic atmosphere. The lamp offers stepless dimming adjustment and is switched on and off via a rotary switch located on the cylinder. The black PVC cable measures 2.5 m in length, while the LED adapter is separate and connects directly to the power socket. The structure measures 600 x 600 mm with a base diameter of Ø80 mm, and reaches a maximum weight of 20.5 kg, reflecting the solidity of its construction. The protection rating is IP20, with insulation class II and no earth connection, and voltage compatibility is universal (100–240 V, EU-AUD-USA-UK-JAP). The Moonsetter is available as a limited and numbered edition of 100 pieces, each engraved with the edition number and a sequential number: a collector's object that unites formal research and the highest level of craft quality.
