Louis Poulsen FJ Elements table lamp

Louis Poulsen FJ Elements is a table lamp of Danish design, originally conceived in 1963 by architect Finn Juhl (1912–1989) and reintroduced in 2025 with a new range of finishes. The name comes directly from Juhl's hand-drawn sketches, in which he described the lamp as being composed of distinct elements. The shades are crafted in deep-drawn aluminium, with a polycarbonate diffuser, a die-cast aluminium lamp holder cover and base, and a steel stem: a construction that combines geometric rigour with exceptional manufacturing quality.

The most distinctive feature of the FJ Elements is the ability to rotate the lower shade around the upper shade, allowing the light to be controlled and directed in different ways while simultaneously transforming the appearance of the lamp and the atmosphere of the surrounding space. The light is directed downward and is glare-free thanks to the diffuser, while a small opening between the upper shade and the light source provides soft upward illumination. This versatility makes it an ideal choice for a characterful living room, a refined bedroom, or a sophisticated office. The lamp is available in black, white, and bi-colour grey (original grey) finishes, all with matt wet-paint coating. The fabric cord measures 2.8 m in length and the switch is integrated into the base. The lamp holder is E14, compatible with LED sources up to a maximum of 15W (maximum bulb size Ø45×75 mm), with universal voltage 100–240 V compatible with the main international standards. The lamp dimensions are 449×Ø175 mm. Protection degree IP20, insulation class II.
