Finn Juhl (1912–1989) is one of Denmark's rarest architects, and the FJ Elements is one of his rarest designs. Originally designed in 1963, the suspension and table lamp were reintroduced in 2025 with a new range of finishes. The lamp takes its name from Juhl's hand-drawn sketches, in which he described it as being composed of elements. While the materials and geometric lines of his design stand out for their simplicity, playful creativity is evident in the way the upper shade can rotate on the lower shade; this feature allows the light to be controlled and directed in different ways, transforming both the appearance of the lamp and its surroundings.
The FJ Elements suspension lamp provides direct downward light and is glare-free thanks to its diffuser. The direction of the light can be adjusted by rotating the lower shade around the upper shade. In addition, a small opening between the upper shade and the light source allows for soft upward lighting.
