Louis Poulsen AJ Garden is an outdoor LED bollard that offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic AJ collection, originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The die-cast aluminium head, stainless steel stem and fixing plate, opal PC diffuser, and ABS spike body combine to create a robust and long-lasting structure, with a textured black powder-coated exterior finish and a white liquid-painted interior. The sculptural design, defined by its minimalist and distinctive silhouette, makes the AJ Garden a recognisable architectural element even when unlit.

Designed to enhance outdoor spaces such as entrances, driveways and garden paths, the bollard emits a pleasant, downward-screened, glare-free light, thanks to the fixed head with white-painted interior. The integrated LED light source rated at 6.5 W with a colour temperature of 3000 K (warm white) delivers a comfortable and atmospheric illumination, not dimmable. The product is available in two heights — 504 mm and 954 mm — with a depth of 247 mm and a base of 90 mm, to suit different landscaping contexts. The IP65 protection rating and insulation class III (IK06) ensure reliable performance in adverse weather conditions. Power is supplied via 10-24V dc constant current, compatible with the main international standards (EU, AUD, USA, UK, JAP).

The AJ Garden offers three distinct installation methods. The spike fixing is Plug&Play: the spike is inserted directly into the ground and the enclosed cables (5 m length, stem Ø12 mm) run along the surface, connecting the bollard to the external adapter supplied. The anchoring unit fixing involves embedding the base in concrete, with cables routed inside installation pipes, and requires installation by a certified electrician. Likewise, the plate fixing is intended for surface mounting and must also be carried out by qualified personnel. The external adapter can power up to 6 bollards with a maximum distance of 30 m from the last unit, offering great flexibility when designing illuminated pathways.
