Louis Poulsen Above Ceiling Suspension Lamp with Direct Downward Light

Above is the suspension lamp by Louis Poulsen, designed by Mads Odgård, combining formal simplicity and luminous effectiveness in a single contemporary luminaire. Its distinctive truncated cone shape is crafted from drawn aluminum, with a satin white painted interior that promotes a soft, homogeneous and comfortable downward light distribution. The opening at the top of the fixture provides decorative lighting of the upper arch, ensuring that the lamp retains its strong aesthetic presence whether the light is on or off.

The Above lamp is available in four sizes — with diameters ranging from 75 mm to 550 mm — and in two finishes: satin white and satin black, both with liquid paint coating. Versions with diameter D.75 and D.250 are compatible with E27 sources up to 60W, while the larger D.400 and D.550 versions support E27 sources up to 100W. A dimmable LED version is also available on request. The power cord measures 3000 mm in length, with an E27 lampholder and insulation class II, ensuring safe and versatile installation. An anti-glare screen is available separately as an accessory for all versions.
