Lodes MAP Starting Point Triac for modular system

Lodes MAP Starting Point Triac is the dimmable starting module of the MAP modular lighting system by Lodes, designed in collaboration with Berlin-based studio Geckeler Michels. This component is the core of the system: equipped with an integrated 7.5W LED, built-in driver and TRIAC dimming protocol, it enables precise control of light intensity. The LED source delivers a CRI90 and a colour temperature selectable between 2700K and 3000K directly during installation via a switch on the lamp body, allowing the quality of light to be tailored to the environment. Rated IP20 for indoor use, it operates at an input voltage of 220–240V with a 24V output.

The MAP system is defined by a conductive fabric tape that links and powers all modules, concealing the origin of the power supply and allowing constellation-inspired free-form compositions. Starting from the Starting Point Triac, up to 4 Additional Points can be connected, for a total of 5 light points, creating bespoke installations for the living room, office or any residential and contract environment. The Starting Point Triac is available in matte black, matte champagne and dark brown finishes, with a choice of Medium (26°), Wide (55°), Lens (80°) optics or the Indirect Light version, which allows the reflector to be oriented by 30° for homogeneous, shadow-free illumination.

The MAP system is made up of distinct elements that must be understood in order to design the installation correctly. The Starting Point — also available in a DALI version with remote driver, supporting up to 7 Additional Points for a total of 8 light points — is the module from which the entire composition originates. The Connection Point is the non-luminous starting module, ideal when the origin point should have no light source, for example on a wall: here too, up to 4 Additional Points can be connected. Additional Points are the light modules that can be freely positioned along the tape, available with the same optics as the Starting Point. The MAP Tape is the conductive tape with a maximum length of 8 metres, available in standard finishes. The Ceiling Bracket accessory is applied when the distance between two light points exceeds two metres, while the Corner Bracket allows corners to be created for ceiling-to-wall compositions.
