Lodes MAP Starting Point Dali for modular system

MAP Starting Point DALI is the starting module of the MAP modular lighting system by Lodes, designed by Berlin-based studio Geckeler Michels. It is a key element in composing a ceiling or wall lighting system, distinguished by a contemporary and flexible design. The hallmark of the entire collection is a fabric tape with integrated conductors, stretched between the various modules, which powers the entire system while always concealing the origin of the power supply and allowing the free arrangement of light points — like the stars of a constellation on a luminous map.

The MAP Starting Point DALI is the starting module featuring a DALI dimming protocol, designed for residential and contract installations where precise and advanced lighting control is required. It is ideal for the living room, the office or any indoor environment that benefits from a tailor-made and aesthetically refined lighting solution. By choosing this module as the starting point, up to 7 Additional Points can be connected along the tape, for a total of 8 lighting points in the entire composition.

From a technical standpoint, this module integrates a 7.5 W LED with a CRI 90 colour rendering index, powered at 220-240 V input and 24 V output via an integrated driver. The colour temperature can be selected between 2700K and 3000K directly during installation via a switch in the lamp body, offering Tunable White flexibility with a luminous flux of 900 lm at 2700K and 918 lm at 3000K. The IP20 protection rating restricts its use to indoor environments, with energy class C.

The Starting Point DALI is available in matte black, matte champagne and dark brown finishes, with a choice of optics: Medium (26°), Wide (55°), Lens (80°) or in the indirect light version. The latter allows the screen to be oriented by 30°, modulating the direction of the beam for homogeneous, shadow-free lighting.

To correctly compose the MAP system, this module must be paired with the other elements of the collection. The MAP Tape is the conductor tape with a maximum length of 8 metres. Additional Points are the supplementary light modules that can be freely installed along the tape, compatible with the same optics as the Starting Point. The Connection Point is the non-luminous starting module, useful when a blind starting point is preferred, for example on a wall. The Ceiling Bracket accessory is recommended for compositions with distances greater than two metres between one light point and another, while the Corner Bracket allows corners to be made for ceiling-wall compositions. This product does not constitute a complete system: compatible accessories must be purchased separately to finalise the installation.
