Lodes MAP Additional Point for modular system

MAP Additional Point is the supplementary light module of the LODES MAP modular system, developed in collaboration with Berlin-based studio Geckeler Michels. Designed for ceiling or wall installation, this element expands and personalises MAP compositions by connecting to the conductive fabric tape that powers the entire structure. The clean, refined design is available in matte black, matte champagne and dark brown finishes, integrating seamlessly into high-end residential and contract interiors.

The MAP Additional Point can be installed freely along the conductive tape, always following the installation guidelines, but it operates exclusively when connected to a Starting Point — in Triac or DALI protocol — or to a Connection Point via the MAP Tape. It is therefore a system component and not a standalone product: a complete composition requires the purchase of additional system elements. Thanks to its flexibility, MAP Additional Point is ideal for creating bespoke luminous constellations in the living room, contract spaces, exhibition environments or any interior where light is also meant to become a decorative element.

From a technical standpoint, the module integrates a 7.5 W LED source with a built-in driver, powered at 24V output and with an input voltage of 220-240 V. Colour rendering is excellent, with a CRI 90 index that ensures accurate colours and a refined light quality. During installation, the desired colour temperature can be selected between 2700K and 3000K via a switch on the lamp body, making each composition adaptable to the atmosphere of the space. Dimmability is compatible with both Triac and DALI protocols, depending on the Starting Point module chosen as the system's origin.

The MAP system offers several selectable optics in the Starting Point modules — Medium (26°), Wide (55°) and Lens (80°) — as well as an indirect light version. Each Triac Starting Point supports up to 4 Additional Points for a total of 5 light points, while a DALI Starting Point supports up to 7 Additional Points, for a total of 8 light points. The MAP Tape has a maximum length of 8 metres; for compositions spanning more than two metres between light points, the Ceiling Bracket is recommended, while the Corner Bracket allows angled ceiling-to-wall configurations. The energy efficiency rating is class C, with a protection degree of IP20 for indoor environments and insulation class I.
