Kartell Optic storage cube

Kartell Optic is a design storage cube created by Patrick Jouin for Kartell, crafted entirely from transparent or mass-coloured PMMA. Its outer surface features small square-based pyramids in slight relief that produce an extraordinary optical effect, allowing each cube to interact with light, reflections and colours in an ever-changing way.

Optic is designed to suit a wide range of settings: the cubes can be stacked or arranged in horizontal and vertical compositions to create fully customisable modular storage solutions. The durability of PMMA makes Optic equally at home indoors — in the living room or bedroom — and in outdoor environments. Measuring 400×400 mm with a total height of 410 mm, it offers generous storage capacity, while the door version — which brings the weight from 5.2 to 6.3 kg — adds a refined touch of order to any space.
