Kartell Okra vase

Okra vases are a design creation by Patricia Urquiola made of recycled plastic material*, a collection that depicts the continuous search for new textures with tactile and aesthetic effects. The uniqueness of these vases lies in the material form, as Patricia Urquiola creates sinuous, organic and fluid shapes with a harmonious look to the whole structure.

Okra vases are made entirely of recycled PMMA in four different finishes, and are available in small or large versions with different heights. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor uses, but are not suitable for dishwasher, food contact or microwave use.

*For the first time Kartell is using recycled PMMA on transparent productions. This material is derived from the depolymerization of plastic waste from various sources. This material maintains aesthetic quality and structural requirements comparable to virgin material; this project allows industrial plastic waste to be revived and become new products that last to become design icons.
