Kartell FL/Y Big suspension led lamp

Kartell FL/Y Big is a large-format suspension lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani in 2002 for Kartell, featuring an Ø83 cm diffuser in recycled PMMA, available in coloured transparent or matt versions. The shade — intentionally not perfectly hemispherical, with the secant plane positioned below the height of the diameter — is designed to gather and distribute light optimally, creating luminous reflections reminiscent of a sparkling soap bubble. The matching canopy is included, and the suspension cable is adjustable from a minimum of 70 to a maximum of 260 cm.

Thanks to its generous proportions and decorative character, FL/Y Big suits spacious residential settings such as the living room or the kitchen, where it can be installed alone as a bold focal point or grouped in chromatic variations. The included 12W LED source with E27 fitting delivers warm white light at 2700K with a luminous flux of 1350 lm and an average lifespan of 20,000 hours. Compatible with voltages from 100 to 240V, it is suitable for worldwide use. Protection rating IP20, for indoor use only. The inside of the diffuser in opaque versions is black; the White version features a slightly translucent surface. Please note: the lampshade is protected by a transparent film that should be removed as the final step of installation.
