Kartell Eleganza Ela Missoni armchair

The Kartell Eleganza Ela Missoni armchair is the result of a collaboration between three centres of excellence: the design of Philippe Starck, the iconic fabrics of Missoni, and a circular economy project with illycaffé. The structure is made from post-industrial recycled thermoplastic technopolymer, obtained by recovering plastic components from illy hyperespresso capsules, while the seat is in polyurethane upholstered in Missoni jacquard fabric. For the first time, post-industrial waste pods are regenerated into a secondary raw material, injected into Kartell moulds to create a truly responsible design piece. Available versions are distinguished by their structure and textile pattern: a zigzag-effect version on a dark base with coloured threads and a reverse fabric effect, a white-background version on a rust-coloured structure with broad, regular geometries, and a dark-structure version where splashes of colour become the defining element.
