Kartell Bookworm

Kartell Bookworm is the iconic wall bookcase designed by Ron Arad in 1994, born from the encounter between the designer's creative vision and Kartell's manufacturing technology. Made from mass-coloured thermoplastic technopolymer with flame retardant properties, Bookworm stands out for its flexible and sinuous form, which users can freely shape to suit any space without sacrificing strength or functionality. Available in six different finishes, it combines sculptural aesthetics with practicality in an unprecedented industrial design object.

Ideal for enhancing a living room or any domestic setting with a distinctive personality, Bookworm is offered in three versions: with 7 bookends, measuring 320x19x20 cm and weighing 6.2 kg; with 11 bookends, 520x19x20 cm and 9.8 kg; with 17 bookends, 820x19x20 cm and 15.2 kg. Each bookend support holds approximately 10 kg, ensuring reliable load capacity. The 200 mm depth and 190 mm profile width keep the wall-mounted footprint minimal, turning books and volumes into genuine decorative elements.
