Ingo Maurer Nuunu floor lamp

Nuunu is a floor lamp by Ingo Maurer, designed by Flavia Thumshirn, evoking the poetry of a golden autumn. Three sheets of gold paper, approximately 20 cm in diameter, are mounted on thin stainless steel rods nearly two meters tall, set into a square base in blued steel with three crystal glass spheres. The spheres are illuminated from below by 3 integrated LEDs of 6 W each, delivering a nominal luminous flux of 1881 lm, and reflect light onto the gold paper sheets, which can be freely rotated and adjusted to create ever-changing plays of light and shadow on the ceiling. Dim-to-warm technology provides a colour temperature ranging from 1800 to 3000 K: as brightness is reduced, the light grows warmer and more intense, while a colour rendering index above 90 ensures outstanding colour fidelity.

The thin, flexible, and gently swaying rods recall reeds bending in the wind, lending Nuunu an organic, sculptural quality that brings life to any interior. Dimming is controlled via a foot switch on the cable, and the plug-in power supply accepts an input voltage of 100–240 V with a 24 V DC secondary, ensuring worldwide compatibility. Measuring 32 × 32 × 185 cm, Nuunu commands the room even when switched off, its gilded surfaces and crystal spheres quietly reflecting ambient light.
