Designed by Flavia Thumshirn for Ingo Maurer, Nuunu is a floor lamp that evokes the poetry of a golden autumn. Three sheets of gold paper, approximately 20 cm in diameter, are attached to thin stainless steel rods almost two meters high, inserted into a square base in blued steel with three crystal glass spheres. The spheres are illuminated from below and reflect the light towards the golden sheets, which can be rotated and adjusted as desired, creating plays of light and shadow on the ceiling that vary according to the light intensity. Dim-to-warm technology ensures a warm light that becomes more intense as the brightness is lowered. The thin, flexible, and oscillating rods resemble reeds in the wind and give Nuunu an organic and natural character. Even when switched off, it remains a sculptural design object that furnishes and reflects the ambient light.
