iGuzzini Nitia led table lamp

Product Information:

Nitia is a small table lamp with reflected light, made of plastic and steel. In the project there is a static game and an unexpected formal composition in the overlapping of the volumes. In his career as a designer, Bonetto was mainly concerned with seeking the translation of industrial shapes and materials into commonly used objects. Nitia is the result of his passion for cars and engines. The first sketches show the combination of pure geometric elements, the cylinder and the sphere, which the designer then decides to transform with a final cut that creates an adjustable optical compartment. The three holes in the optical case are borrowed from the automotive industry. They prevent the lamp from overheating, a ploy also used in machines of the time.
