Helvar 905 Digidim DALI Single Output Router With Ethernet Connection Subnet

The Helvar 905 Digidim DALI Single Output Router with Ethernet Connection is an application controller designed by Helvar for advanced DALI lighting network control. Built in PVC with an IP20 protection rating and compact dimensions of 160 × 100 × 60 mm, the device uses an Ethernet connection (10/100 Mb/s) to manage a local DALI network, with basic functionality available immediately and no prior programming required. The Helvar Designer software enables advanced configuration and functional programming of the router for more complex installations.

The system also provides energy saving functionality through occupancy detection and the use of daylight. Further automation can be achieved through scheduled events. If needed, a PC can be connected to the system for diagnostic and logging purposes; however, PC control during day-to-day operation is not required, as all data is stored within the system itself. The elimination of a central controller ensures that no single point of vulnerability can cause the entire system to fail, guaranteeing operational continuity even in the most demanding environments, such as commercial office settings.

The controller supports up to 64 DALI devices and holds DALI-2 Single Master certification for DALI-2 lighting systems (control gear), not DALI-2 control devices. It features a built-in real-time clock and can be networked with other units to form large scalable systems, providing either local or central control depending on the requirements of the installation. The universal power input of 100–240 V, compatible with EU, AUS, USA, UK and Japanese electrical networks, together with the integrated DALI power supply, significantly simplifies installation in international contexts.

The 905 is fully compatible with Helvar application controllers and other building automation systems, supporting integration into larger setups.
