Gufram Guframini Miniature Pratone

The Guframini Pratone are a miniature reinterpretation of the iconic ‘Pratone,’ the famous sofa-sculpture created in 1971 by Italian designers Giorgio Ceretti, Pietro Derossi and Riccardo Rosso for Gufram. This object, a key piece of radical Italian design, is conceived as a stylised meadow composed of large green blades of grass emerging from the ground, which can be compressed and deformed to provide playful and unconventional seating.

The Guframini version is a scaled-down reproduction, maintaining the same provocative and irreverent spirit of the original but in a more compact size, suitable for collectors and design enthusiasts who wish to bring a piece of radical design history into their homes or offices. Even in mini size, the Pratone retains its soft and flexible appearance thanks to the use of polyurethane foam, the surface of which is then hand-painted to faithfully recreate the vibrant grass-green of the original.

The Guframini Pratone, therefore, is not just a decorative object, but a small work of art and a symbol of freedom and a break from traditional design conventions.
