Gufram Guframini Metacactus miniature

The Guframini Metacactus is the miniature version of Gufram's famous Cactus coat stand, an icon of radical Italian design conceived in the 1970s by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello. Like the original, the Metacactus is a functional sculpture that recalls the shape of a giant cactus, with an ironic and non-conformist aesthetic that challenges the concept of traditional furniture.

This small cactus is made of polyurethane foam and, thanks to Gufram's special Guflac paint, manages to retain all the texture and details of the original version. Every single ‘needle’ and detail is hand-painted, giving this miniature a realistic and playful appearance. Although the Metacactus is a reproduction, it retains the same intensity of green colour and visual strength as the large version, making it look like a small work of pop art.

Although it has no practical function as a coat rack, the Guframini Metacactus is an ideal decorative object for design enthusiasts. Placed in a modern setting or in a collection of miniatures, it becomes a focal point that encapsulates the playful and iconic character of radical Italian design.
