Foscarini Lightweight is a large-format LED suspension lamp designed by Tom Dixon for Foscarini. Its design reinterprets the classic chandelier with arms through a process of formal subtraction: every ornament is stripped away, allowing only the essential structure to emerge, transformed into a graphic sign suspended in space. Handcrafted through the welding of hundreds of elements in anodized metal, Lightweight achieves a refined balance between formal innovation and artisanal tradition. The diffuser extends to a diameter of 1200 mm, with a total height of 4070 mm, creating a bold architectural presence. Eight small blown and etched glass diffusers emit a diffused, intense and homogeneous light via a G4 LED light source. The lamp carries an IP20 rating and belongs to Insulation Class I. The bulb is not included. Upon request, a version with a 10-metre cable is available.
Thanks to its imposing dimensions and sculptural silhouette, Lightweight is ideal for large residential spaces or prestigious interiors. It finds its finest expression in the living room, where its minimalist geometry engages with contemporary architecture and design interiors, becoming the visual centrepiece of the entire composition. The contained weight of 7.60 kg, despite the generous scale, reflects the coherence between name and project: an imposing lamp that is, surprisingly, lightweight.
