Fontana Arte Pinecone Medium suspension lamp

Fontana Arte Pinecone Medium is a suspension lamp designed by Paola Navone in collaboration with FontanaArte, crafted using the ancient technique of caged blown glass. The master glassblower mouth-blows the glass bubble inside a metal cage that only partially contains its natural expansion: the molten glass fills the spaces and swells in a sinuous, unexpected way, creating a captivating play of tension between material and structure. The cage is then further refined with a galvanic treatment that makes it shiny and brilliant, available in the finishes White-Gold, Transparent-Gold, White-Chrome and Transparent-Chrome.

The Pinecone Medium stands out for its remarkable visual impact, whether switched off or on, lending itself with elegance to sophisticated design interiors. The transparent version allows the observer to perceive a double level of structure, amplifying the scenographic effect: the interweaving of the metal basket projects a kaleidoscopic play of shadows onto the surrounding surfaces. The white version, on the other hand, delicately follows the cage's geometries, generating an elegant and enveloping diffused light. It is an ideal choice to enhance the living room or the bedroom, where it becomes the centrepiece of the lighting scheme. With a diameter of 300 mm and a total height of 360 mm, with an adjustable suspension height of up to 250 cm, it adapts versatilely to different installation heights. The E26/E27 lampholder is compatible with LED or halogen light sources — the bulb is not included — and the fitting is dimmable, allowing the light intensity to be modulated as needed. The IP20 protection rating defines its use in indoor environments, while compatibility with 100–240 V input voltage makes it suitable for installations across Europe, the USA, Australia, the UK and Japan. Recommended light sources, not included, are LED 1×21W E27 (2700K, 2452 lm) or halogen 1×116W E27 (2800K, 2135 lm).
