Description

Luminator is one of Pietro Chiesa's first projects of 1932, when he, already owner of an artisan workshop specializing in the artistic processing of glass in Milan, signed for FontanaArte, of which in the same year he became artistic director alongside the great Gio Ponti. Luminator was the first floor lamp with an indirect lighting emission, and is composed of a thin metal shaft that opens upwards in a cone and inside which is the dimmable LED light source with floor button, and indirect light emission.

Luminator is a single element that rests on a circular base, a lamp with an almost abstract rigor and purity. By far one of the most extraordinary pieces designed by Pietro Chiesa, with a personality so current that his date of birth seems incredible.
