Fontana Arte Giova Vase table lamp in blown glass

Half vase, half lamp, Giova born in 1967 marks Gae Aulenti's debut in the field of designer lighting. Available in two sizes, it is both a lamp and a luminous sculpture. Positioned on a metal base is a transparent bowl containing a sphere, which in turn houses the light source. Placed above is a smaller bowl in blown pulegoso glass, meaning ‘with irregular bubbles’, which serves as a bottom vase.

The idea of ​​glass-light expressed in the lamps has proved to be a highly iconic piece of furniture over time. These objects, models of timeless quality made in Italy, have not only reached the status of icons, but are still today the best sellers in the FontanaArte catalog. In fact, these include the Giova lamp designed in 1964, the Parola family of lamps (1980) designed with Piero Castiglioni, the Table with wheels (1980) and the Tour table (1993).  Black power cord, switch and plug.
