Fontana by FontanaArte is the curved glass coffee table designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1932, one of the most iconic pieces in the history of Italian design. Crafted from a single sheet of transparent float glass, curved and ground on both sides to a thickness of 15 mm, this extraordinary coffee table is shaped into a double curvature — an engineering challenge that, even today, makes its production a process of exceptional technical complexity. A Made in Italy piece, it embodies the essence of modern design, transforming a single material into a sculptural form of timeless elegance.

The Fontana coffee table was born from the collaboration between Pietro Chiesa and FontanaArte, the company founded by Gio Ponti and Luigi Fontana, of which Chiesa became artistic director. Since its creation, the original design has undergone no variations whatsoever, establishing itself as a true classic of twentieth-century Italian design. Ideal for furnishing the living room with a refined and contemporary presence, it complements any interior style thanks to its transparency and purity of line. The table is available in three versions: Small, measuring 60 cm in length, 40 cm in height and 40 cm in depth; Medium, measuring 120 cm in length, 40 cm in height and 60 cm in depth; and Large, measuring 140 cm in length, 40 cm in height and 70 cm in depth. This range of sizes allows the table to suit spaces of varying dimensions, while preserving the aesthetic coherence of the original design.
