Flos Real Matter recessed wall lamp brushed steel IP65

Flos Real Matter is an outdoor recessed wall luminaire designed by Piero Lissoni for Flos Outdoor. In the brushed stainless steel version, the body is crafted from AISI 316L stainless steel treated with a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process: the surfaces are coated with a thin film of metals such as zirconium and titanium which, bonding with the steel at a molecular level, enhance both mechanical resistance and weatherproofing, resulting in refined and long-lasting finishes. The diffuser is made from UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The light source is a 3 W LED, with a protection rating of IP65 and insulation class III, ensuring safe and reliable performance in outdoor environments.

With its compact dimensions — width 115 mm, height 150 mm, depth 15/3 mm — and the signature construction quality of Flos, the Real Matter is ideally suited as a recessed wall steplight for pathways, entrances and vertical surfaces in outdoor settings. The input voltage is 24 V AC/DC, compatible with EU, AUD, USA, UK and JAP electrical systems; the electronic power supply (not included) can be installed remotely or housed behind the fixture in the formwork. The luminaire is supplied with two outgoing power cables (L 2000 mm) and an IP-sealed connection kit. The light temperature can be selected between 2700K and 3000K, with a colour rendering index of CRI80. Real Matter is available in three installation versions: in masonry or concrete with a recessed formwork box to be ordered separately; in plasterboard walls with dedicated springs included, compatible with surface thicknesses between 5 mm and 20 mm; or in masonry or concrete without formwork, with the fixture bonded directly to the surface using an adhesive selected by the installer according to the substrate material.
