Flos Parentesi Double is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian industrial design, conceived by Achille Castiglioni and Pio Manzù for Flos. This double floor-to-ceiling suspension lamp in red features an essential steel structure: a tube shaped like a parenthesis slides freely along a cable stretched between ceiling and floor, allowing the light head to be repositioned at any height with a gentle touch of the hand. A mechanical principle as ingenious as it is elegant, which earned the Parentesi the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1979 — the design is now exhibited at the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. The Double version includes one Parentesi unit and one Parentesi Element unit, both in red and dimmable, with an E26/E27 lampholder compatible with LED sources (bulbs not included) and a 4000 mm cord.
