Extraordinary, essential and ingenious, the Parentesi lamp by Flos is one of the most important icons of Italian industrial design. The name takes inspiration from a metal tube, the central element of the lamp, shaped in the shape of a parenthesis which is an indication of a great innovation since it allows the lamp to be moved with a slight pressure of the hand. A perfect lamp with few elements, characterized by the vertical movement of the lighting body, obtained by sliding a shaped steel tube on a steel cable stretched between the ceiling and the floor. Functional, simple and without superfluous, it is a manifesto of the form=function principle. Parentesi won the Compasso D'Oro in 1979, and today it is exhibited at the Design Museum of the Milan Triennale. The version with dimmer allows you to easily adjust the light intensity.
