Flos Mile 1 recessed ceiling lamp

Flos Mile 1 is a recessed ceiling lamp for outdoor use with an integrated 11 W LED, designed by Antonio Citterio for Flos Outdoor. Its rectangular, rigorous and minimal profile houses a high-precision optical system crafted in aluminium, engineered to maximise visual comfort by reducing direct glare without compromising luminous efficiency. Recessed power LEDs, transparent polycarbonate lenses and conical reflectors in glossy black polycarbonate produce a controlled and homogeneous light beam with extreme cut-off angles — all within a compact and discreet form factor.

With an IP66 protection rating, Mile 1 is perfectly suited for outdoor environments exposed to demanding weather conditions: driveways, porches, terraces and gardens benefit from its elegant and high-performance design. The fixture operates at 220–240 V via an included driver, with symmetric direct light emission and a 40° beam angle (Optic Flood Beam); a Spot optic at 12° and a Medium optic at 26° are available on request. The colour temperature can be selected between 3000 K warm white (1030 lm) and 4000 K neutral white (1067 lm), with a colour rendering index greater than 80. The standard version is On/Off and not dimmable; a 2700 K version with DALI or 1-10V dimming is available on request. Installation in false ceilings is straightforward thanks to the included fixing springs; for masonry or reinforced concrete ceilings, a dedicated galvanised steel formwork for casting is available among the installation accessories. The compact dimensions — 90 × 70 × 180 mm — and the choice of seven finishes (White, Grey, Anthracite, Black, Green, Brown and paintable Primer) make Mile 1 a versatile solution for any design context, residential or otherwise.
