Infra-Structure: the modular reinterpretation of a FLOS design icon

The unique design of Infra-Structure evolves through a new, extremely simplified modular concept. Essential yet highly impactful elements that can be combined to characterize any architectural space with a strong scenic presence.

Versatile and modular tubular structure

The essential tubular structure of Infra-Structure is incredibly versatile. Thanks to a special connection system, it is possible to combine vertical and horizontal elements to create three-dimensional compositions in infinite variations, using linear and geometric modules.

The mechanical connection between the individual modules that make up the structure is achieved through a screw system that ensures quick and secure installation. Each module is locked in place thanks to the integration of two small grub screws, practically invisible once installation is complete.

Simple and integrated electrical connections

The electrical connections of the lighting modules are extremely simple to make. Each lighting element comes complete with a 4-meter electrical cable equipped with a micro-connector at the output. The cable is run through the various sections of the vertical structure and then connected to the mains at ceiling level.

Construction features

The structural parts are made with extruded aluminum tubular elements, painted in white or black, powered at 48V. The system can be controlled through remote drivers with broadcast control or, alternatively, in independent mode through a dedicated driver for each lighting element, with compatibility for DALI, 1-10V, and FLOS Control.

The Infra-Structure family consists of general lighting modules with various optics and modules for direct and indirect ambient light, covering every design requirement.

Configuration

The extreme simplicity of the elements and the speed with which they can be combined allow you to unleash design creativity, achieving countless combinations. As in a three-dimensional grid, you simply define the vertical axes of the structure and then visually — and electrically — connect them to the lighting modules, which can freely rotate 360°, ensuring incredible installation flexibility.

Control systems

• The fixtures are compatible with DALI, 1-10V, and Casambi systems.
• For management via 1-10V, the control system must be active and the data bus must be connected directly to the controller. For individual control, a dimmable driver is required for each lighting module or group of modules.
• For management via the Casambi system, it is necessary to order a Casambi interface to be connected to a DALI or 1-10V driver. The FLOS Control powered by Casambi mobile app is required, available on the Apple Store and Google Play.

Optical system

• Light Tube Direct / Light Tube Covered / Suspension Panel 600: direct general lighting.
• Light Tube Indirect: indirect general lighting.
• Suspension Cone 300 / Suspension Cone 400: direct general flood lighting.

Power supply and technical specifications

• Remote 48V power supply not included.
• Protection rating IP20.
• Suitable for installation on normally flammable surfaces.
• Fixture compliant with European and American (UL) Technical Standards EN60598-1 and related second parts.
