Flos Gobi 180 Double is a recessed ground spotlight by Flos Outdoor, designed for outdoor applications with direct bidirectional light emission. The body is made of die-cast EN AB-47100 aluminium with low copper content, coated with a double layer of highly corrosion-resistant paint, while the glass is in transparent borosilicate. The parallel position of the light source relative to the support surface maximises the direct component of the emission, with an asymmetric bidirectional optic that distributes light effectively along pathways, driveways and outdoor surfaces.

The Gobi 180 Double is engineered for particularly demanding applications: it is both walkable and drive-over rated up to 2000 kg, making it ideal for outdoor environments such as vehicle driveways, squares, terraces and public spaces. This version operates at 24V DC and is equipped with a 400 mm cable length with a watertight M12 screw connector for electrical connection to a remote power supply, which is not included. The integrated 6.5 W LED source delivers a luminous flux of 2 × 250 lm at a colour temperature of 3000 K (warm white) and a colour rendering index of CRI 80. The IP67 protection rating ensures maximum resistance to water and dust ingress. The luminaire belongs to Insulation Class III and supports input voltages of both 24V DC and 100–240V. The standard version is not dimmable, though a dimmable version is available on request. Installation requires a recessed formwork to be ordered separately; an adequate layer of drainage material beneath the formwork or a dedicated drainage system must be provided to prevent water stagnation. To ensure the integrity of the cable gland, flexible electrical cables suitable for outdoor use must be employed. The Gobi 180 Double is available in the finishes White, Grey, Forest Green, Deep Brown, Black and Anthracite, with dimensions of Ø 180 × 30 mm. The Gobi 180 is also available in 2700K and 4000K colour temperatures: the preferred option can be specified in the order message when finalising the purchase. Gobi 180 is the new version of the former Ares - VEGA steplights.
