Flos Glo-Ball Basic table lamp

Flos Glo-Ball Basic is an iconic table lamp designed by Jasper Morrison in 1998 for Flos, featuring its distinctive spherical diffuser in mouth-blown flashed opaline glass with an acid-etched exterior finish. The threaded ring nut is made of die-cast aluminum alloy with a galvanic finish and alodine surface treatment, while the base is crafted from polyamide reinforced with 30% glass fiber and the diffuser support from liquid-painted die-cast aluminum alloy. The lamp is dimmable via the step dimmer integrated on the power cord, and is compatible with voltages from 100–240 V for worldwide use.

Glo-Ball Basic is available in two versions: Basic 1, with a total height of 270 mm, diameter Ø330 mm, base Ø110 mm and weight of 2.6 kg, and Basic 2, with a total height of 360 mm, diameter Ø450 mm, base Ø145 mm and weight of 4 kg. Both accept an E27 source up to max 150W (recommended LED 15W or 18W), with IP20 protection for indoor use. The soft, enveloping light emanating from the opaline diffuser evokes the luminosity of a full moon, creating timeless, relaxing atmospheres ideal for the living room or bedroom.
