Description
Gibiagiana is a table lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos in 1980, available in various very rare finishes, from a private collection in excellent condition. In 1980, Flos put into production the “Gibigiana”, the unique table lamp that has become an absolute icon of the style of its designer, Achille Castiglioni. The main feature of the lamp is the mirror at the top of the device, which allows you to direct the light flow coming from the light source hidden inside the steel body. The light is thus directed only where it is needed via a wheel on the head, to allow two people, in the same dark environment, to simultaneously carry out different activities with different lighting conditions.

Castiglioni designed Gibigiana inspired by a prank played by naughty students, when a ray of sunshine with the clock is reflected between the desks of the school, on the walls of the classroom, in the faces of classmates or, even better, on the back of the teacher: the gibigiana, in fact.
