Flos Gibigiana 1/2 by Achille Castiglioni 1980

Flos Gibigiana, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1980, is a table lamp that has become an absolute icon of Italian design. Its defining feature is the small mirror positioned at the top of the fixture, which allows the light emitted by the concealed source inside the aluminium body to be directed precisely where needed. A control wheel on the head orients the reflected beam with ease, enabling two people in the same room to carry out different activities under different lighting conditions simultaneously. The lamp is fully dimmable (0–100%) with an on/off switch on the back of the structure, and comes complete with a GU5.3 LED source, compatible with voltages from 100 to 240 V (EU, AUS, USA, UK, JAP).

Castiglioni drew inspiration from a childhood prank — the flash of light reflected by a watch across the classroom walls or onto the teacher's back: the gibigiana. This playful brilliance translates into an object that is both functional and poetic, perfectly suited to enhance a living room, a study or a bedroom. Available in an adjustable height between 430 and 530 mm, with IP20 protection rating and a 2800 mm cable. This product is part of a vintage collection and may show minor signs of wear consistent with age.
