Flos Bulb 57 Suspension Lamp

Flos Bulb 57 is an iconic suspension lamp originally designed in 1957 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for the XI Milan Triennale, reissued by Flos in 2019 with an LED light source. The globe-shaped body, 200 mm in diameter, is crafted from blown borosilicate glass, offering exceptional transparency, reduced thickness and remarkable impact resistance. Inside, a 225 mm flexible micro-LED filament is held in place by a molybdenum structure encased in a borosilicate tube that extracts air and prevents internal condensation, faithfully recreating the aesthetic of the original tungsten filament.

This lamp is an elegant statement piece for the living room or the bedroom, delivering warm and atmospheric illumination thanks to a colour temperature of 2000–2200 K and a high CRI 95 colour rendering index for vivid, natural tones. At just 6 W and with an average lifespan of 50,000 hours, it supports dimming via standard triac dimmers, with a luminous flux adjustable between 210 and 450 lumens. The kit includes two fixtures mountable via a polycarbonate ceiling rose, with a 2000 mm cord and nylon wires for customised installations. Compatible with EU, USA, UK, AUD and JAP voltages (100–240 V), insulation class II, IP20. Supplied complete with light source included.
