Flos Arco Nero 40th Anniversary 2002 – Limited Edition Floor Lamp by Castiglioni

The Flos Arco Nero floor lamp, the iconic design created in 1962 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, was reintroduced in 2002 as an exclusive Limited Edition of only 3,000 pieces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of the most celebrated objects of Italian design Made in Italy. In this rare commemorative version, the traditional white Carrara marble base is replaced by an elegant solid black marble base, a distinctive detail that enhances its collectible appeal and historical value.

The satin-finished stainless steel telescopic stem, divided into three adjustable sections, allows the height and extension of the arch to be customized, while the adjustable perforated aluminum diffuser provides direct lighting with an anti-glare effect. Perfect for sophisticated contemporary interiors, the Arco Nero floor lamp is ideal for the living room, lounge areas and statement interiors, as well as refined office spaces. This example, dated and numbered 1357/3000, comes with the original manufacturer label and originates directly from the Flos archives.

The Flos arc floor lamp, designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, reaches a total height of 240 cm and uses its telescopic satin stainless steel extension to project light at a distance from the base. The latter, made of solid black marble, provides the stability required to support the model's characteristic overhang. The perforated aluminium diffuser is adjustable, allowing the direction of the light beam to be modulated.

Lighting is direct emission, controlled by a simple ON/OFF switch, with a 1x max 70W source, E27-26 LED fitting and bulb included. The power cable measures 270 cm. A limited numbered edition piece (1357/3000, year 2002), from a private collection. Made in Italy.
