Flos A-Round 240 Adjustable Recessed Ground Spotlight For Outdoor IP67

Flos A-Round 240 is an adjustable recessed ground spotlight for outdoor use, by Flos Outdoor, designed for high-end architectural and landscape lighting installations. The external ring is crafted in AISI 316L stainless steel treated with a PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process: this innovative treatment coats the surfaces with a thin film of metals such as zirconium and titanium, which bond with the steel at a molecular level to enhance both mechanical resistance and weatherproofing, enabling refined and long-lasting finishes in Copper, Bronze, Gold and Stainless variants. The luminaire body is made of die-cast EN AB-47100 aluminium with low copper content, coated with a double layer of high corrosion-resistance paint, while the high-strength tempered transparent glass is silk-screened to reduce glare.

Designed for prestigious outdoor environments — gardens, driveways, terraces and pedestrian pathways — the A-Round 240 features an IP67 protection rating and insulation class II, making it suitable for environments subject to temporary immersion. The Power LED light source, rated at 8W, delivers 479 net lumens with a CRI 80 colour rendering index, available in colour temperatures of 3000K and 4000K. The symmetric flood down optic is available in three beam angles — 14°, 25° and 64° — to suit a wide range of design requirements. The luminaire is adjustable on the horizontal axis up to 15° and rotates around the vertical axis up to 359°, ensuring maximum directional flexibility. The remote driver is included, supplied with a watertight M12 quick-coupling connector; the input voltage is 100–240 V, 50–60 Hz. A DALI dimmable version is available on request, as is the 1-10V variant. The fixture dimensions are: diameter 240 mm, length 182 mm. Installation requires a recessed formwork, to be ordered separately; an adequate gravel layer (over 300 mm) or a drainage system must also be provided to prevent water stagnation. Flexible electrical cables suitable for outdoor use are required to ensure cable gland integrity.

Please note: it is necessary and mandatory to install A-Round spotlights on a compatible formwork, which is not included but can be purchased separately. It is recommended to use a connection system with a protection rating equal to or higher than that of the fixture, and to install a surge protection device on the electrical system to protect the product from irreversible damage caused by electrical discharges or ESD phenomena.
