Flos 265 Small adjustable wall lamp

265 Small is the latest replica of Paolo Rizzatto's historic 265, the wall lamp that seems to defy gravity with its multi-angle swivel head and long adjustable swing arm. It was originally conceived for Flos in 1973, when the Milanese architect first devoted his expertise to lighting, and was a democratic design imagined for a traditional room of standard size. The latest version boasts the same original style, features, and function with new, compact proportions that are more versatile thanks to a shorter arm that fits spaces of any size and style. In its original version the lamp is a tribute to color in painting, in fact it featured a primary color chosen ad hoc: the head, the most important element, was designed in red, the counterweight was yellow and the connecting arm was blue. It was then finally produced in more muted shades, and although it is normally available in black and white, the original chromatic proposal has made a remarkable entry into the Flos catalog.

It is a simple lighting, a suspended wall lamp, essentially consisting of a head and a weight that balance each other on either end of an adjustable arm. You simply move the connecting arm to the area you want to illuminate, and you can rotate the head 360° to adjust the angle of illumination. Today, 265 Small offers a versatile, contemporary lighting solution that is more agile than ever, providing clean, direct light in any direction and in any space.
