The Dyson V4 digital engine runs up to three times faster than a traditional engine, generating the power that makes Airblade technology possible.
It took seven years to build the latest Dyson V4 digital engine, one of the world's smallest fully integrated 1600 Watt engines. It is the only air-cleaner motor capable of conveying up to 35 liters of air per second through a HEPA filter and drying hands in 10 seconds. This durable, low-power motor is digitally activated and deactivated 6,000 times per second, allowing the high-compression fan to perform 90,000 rpm. The moving parts are only three, so there are no carbon brushes or rings collectors subject to wear.
